Little Tennis

Ages 4-6

One session runs four times a month, except during January, June, July, August, and December. The cost per session is $35.00.

Our Little Tennis Clinics are a playful introduction to tennis designed for preschoolers ages 4–5. Using red felt balls, miniature nets or short distances from the net, and simple games, children build coordination, balance, and confidence—all while having a blast! The focus is on fun movement, teamwork, and basic racquet skills rather than traditional “tennis drills.” Each class blends imaginative games with early athletic skills that form the foundation for all sports.

Red Ball
Ages 6-8

One session runs four times a month, except during January, June, July, August, and December. The cost per session is $100.00.

Fun, foundational tennis skills for younger or newer players—on smaller courts with slower, low-bounce red balls that let kids succeed, rally easily and build confidence.

Builds the physical fundamentals: agility, balance, coordination (the “ABCs”).

Uses modified equipment (smaller courts, short distance to net, larger/softer balls) so children experience more ball contact, more rallying success.

Creates a fun, inclusive introduction to tennis—emphasis is on movement, basic strokes, rallying, and enjoyment rather than competition.

Sets a solid technical foundation so that as skills grow, the transition to the next level becomes smoother.

Orange/Green Ball
Ages 8 - 12

One session runs four times a month, except during January, June, July, August, and December. The cost per session is $100.00.

Orange Ball
Ages 8 - 10

Skill-building on a medium-sized court with orange balls—kids refine technique, start live rallying, explore tactics, and become more confident as players.

Orange balls bounce a bit higher and move a bit faster than red, giving a step up in pace yet still manageable for developing players.

The court is larger (typically 60'), which starts to introduce full‐court movement, positional understanding, net play and variety of strokes.

Everything is subject to their level, but our focus shifts more toward consistency, control, rallying, serving initiation, scoring and simple point play. For example: “Hit harder, learn volleys & serves, start constructing points.

Encourages strategy and decision-making (when to attack, when to defend) in a friendly competitive environment.

Green Ball
Ages 9 - 12

Transitioning to full-court tennis using green balls: players refine full-size strokes, movement, match-play mindset, preparing for standard yellow-ball game.

Green balls are very similar to standard yellow balls—but slightly slower/slightly lower bounce—giving players a near‐adult environment with a bit of buffer.

Full-size courts, full-size net (78’ court) are used, so players learn full-court movement, proper footwork, serve & return depth, point construction.

Prepares players for the yellow ball level by consolidating technique, tactics, match play experience, and ensuring the transition isn’t rushed.

Emphasizes competitive play (team events, non-elimination matches) within a development-friendly context.

Yellow Ball Clinics

Ages 10-15

One session runs four times a month, except during January, June, July, August, and December. The cost per session is $100.00.

Full, traditional tennis: yellow balls, full-size court, bigger challenges—players focus on advanced strokes, strategy, competitive match play and long-term growth.”

  • This is the full court tennis environment: standard balls, full‐size courts, standard nets.

  • Players at this stage focus on advanced stroke production (serves, returns, spin, direction), tactical awareness, fitness, match management across singles & doubles.

  • The emphasis shifts more fully toward competition, strategy, long-term development of tennis as a lifetime sport, and potentially tournament/league play if desired.

  • Making the transition too quickly (to yellow before readiness) can lead to missing key foundational skills or loss of confidence.
